COME EAT WITH US - IFTAR
Let’s just say the cozy evening was filled with stories, food and stories of food. As Rajeesh weaved his narratives of Malabar and food, he took us on a journey through time and culture, creating a shared space where everyone felt connected to their contexts and to each other. Each story felt like a thread in the intricate fabric of people’s lives, that resonated deeply with the listeners.
After the stories, we slowly headed upstairs to dine together. When we started eating around the time of breaking of Ramadan fast, it was an experience steeped in the richness of human connection. Local food from Sabeethatha had its aroma fill the entire house when people ate the food of which they had just heard the stories of. Shared meals lit a sense of community and warmth. It was also a time for storytelling, exchanging life updates, and for simply being present with one another.
The loveliest Sticky Toffee Pudding was prepared by whose desserts have become a staple on special evenings at Vettaths!
