Forgotten Ways of Living

💬 About Talk: With Manju, we will visit a landscape quite far from us, not geographically, but in world view. We will look at what the indigenous way of life looks like in central Kerala’s forests, what lessons in sustainability it holds for us in the modern world, and how much of all this must we preserve for the sake of the future...

🗣️ About Speaker: Manju spent the early years of her career being an ecologist, working with grassroots NGOs. In 2016, she began working on community based conservation at River Research Centre Trichur. Adivasi women’s groups were trained in value addition of minor forest products, in the hope of building dignified livelihoods. She then went on to found Forest Post, a brand that creates market linkages for seasonal forest produce curated by indigenous women.
