Vettaths X Walk The Earth

MACRAMÉ WORKSHOP

On 11th March 2023, we curated a Macrame workshop with Savitha from Walk The Earth which was a beautiful experience in creating with hands.

Learning new skills isn’t novel at Vettaths. But exploring the art of macramé sure was. We had our friend, Savita from Walk The Earth come all the way from Bangalore along with her partner Ronny to make this workshop happen. Some of us didn’t know that we could make even clothes by the same method!

We started the workshop around 11AM. Our task for the day was to make a lamp shade and take it back home. Savi was kind and so driven to spend extra 2 hours and so were our friends who participated having an intense drive to learn the skill too. Ronny was super helpful and also guided us.

For lunch, we had hot and delicious tacos cooked live at Vettaths by Chef Shaw and Chef Ibrahim from Latin Street, Kozhikode.

Loved how easy it was to make this happen with all of them. We had a fun time setting up the space, playing with some bamboo and ropes too.
